Azamara Quest is one of two identical ships owned by Azamara Club Cruises. Built in 2000, she was acquired by Azamara in 2007 and refurbished in 2016.

Azamara Quest resembles a floating boutique hotel. With only 700 passengers, she’s small compared to many of the mega ships that you’ll find today. Yet despite her size, the public areas are surprisingly spacious. The decor is modern yet intricate, with a beautiful staircase in the centre of the ship, and delightful paintings hanging on the walls.

One thing that stands out about Azamara Quest is how nice the pool area is. The sunloungers each have thick mattresses and towels and the hot tubs are very inviting. The inside of the ship is lovely too, it all looks very clean and luxurious, whilst at the same time relaxing – not pretentious at all.

The food on this ship was absolutely amazing. During our visit we enjoyed tapas, which was out of this world. Even the simplest of dished tasted superb and the fresh orange juice was probably the best I’ve ever tasted.

Azamara Club Cruises are very much focused around destinations, with longer in port and more overnight stays so that you can really immerse yourself in the different places that you visit. That said, I’d have no problem with enjoying sea days and evenings on-board.

The service on this ship was fantastic, the staff were super-polite without being over the top, and everybody we passed smiled and said hello, even if they were busy doing something else.

I would recommend this ship to couples who are interested in a mixture of exploration and relaxation. The dress code is always relaxed and there’s probably no dancing or much in the way of lively entertainment. But if after a busy day of sightseeing you just want to chill out and enjoy delicious food in a lovely setting, this ship is perfect.
