Antalya, Turkey Cruise Port

Sight-seeing in Antalya

Antalya has many fantastic beaches on which tourists can relax in the sun or get involved with a range of thrilling waters ports including scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, wind surfing and yachting. The most popular beaches in town are Konyaalti, Karpuzkaldiran and Lara beach. The city also boasts a selection of fascinating museums with many intriguing artefacts housed within the prize-winning Antalya Archaeology Museum, Atatürks House Museum, Kaleiçi Museum and the Antalya Toy Museum. The majority of the city's ancient buildings and structures are situated within the historic city centre, known as Kaleiçi.

Kaleiçi

Kaleiçi is the historic city centre of Antalya, where many of the city's ancient monuments are located including the Clock Tower, the ancient city walls, Hidirlik Tower and Hadrian's Gate. Hadrian's Gate is one the Antalya most famous landmarks, constructed during the 2nd century to pay to tribute to the Roman Emperor Hadrian. Several beautiful and historic mosques are also distributed throughout the Kaleiçi area of the city, including the Iskele, Kesik Minare, Yivli Minare and Tekeli Memet Paşa Mosque, all of which boast tremendous architecture and are the focal point of local culture.

Antalya Zoo and Nature Park

Covering an area of around 400 acres, the Antalya Zoo and Nature Park is Turkey's most impressive wildlife display. The zoo houses hundreds of species of animals across its large outdoor exhibits, reptile and house birds. The nature park is an excellent day trip for people of ages.

Antalya Aquapark

The Antalya Aquapark is the biggest and best water park on the Turkish Riviera, boasting an amazing collection of thrilling water slides and swimming pools to provide fun for all the family.

Shopping in Antalya

The modern areas of Antalya contain some of the best shopping districts in Turkey, with a range of large department stores and smaller speciality shops selling a variety of items and souvenirs including ceramics, fashion, textiles, sculptures, metal work and a range of locally produced food items like jams and jellies. Alternatively, large shopping malls such as the MMM Migros are great places to find well known brands and familiar retailers.

Eating Out in Antalya

Authentic Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine can be found in restaurants and cafes across the city, serving local favourites including Tandir kebab and Tomato cive. More familiar western meals are also available in eateries and fast food outlets distributed throughout Antalya.
