The Genoa Aquarium, or Acquario di Genova as it is known locally, is one of Genoa's most popular and frequently visited tourist destinations. Located at the old harbour, the aquarium is the largest of its kind in Italy covering an area of around 33,000 square feet and welcoming more than 1.2 million guests every year.
