The port of Lembar is situated within the Indonesian region of West Lombok and serves as a gateway to the bustling nearby city of Bali. Narmada Water Park
Located around 10km east of Mataram, this park is a place of relaxation, containing both a Hindu temple and swimming pool. The park also has a special fountain known as the Youth Fountain. It is said that the fountain will grant a long life to anyone who drinks from it. The attraction is particularly popular with local people, who flock to the park at weekends to play, relax and swim.
Lombok is home to three majestic waterfalls, which attract visitors from all over the country. The most popular waterfall is named Air Terjun Sindang gila and is a spectacular sight. Visitors are also welcome to swim in the cool waters at its base. The second waterfall is around an hour's walk from Air Terjun Sindang gila and may require the assistance of a guide to locate. The third waterfall can only be found by experience rock climbers with the correct equipment and a local guide to show them the way.
Tanjung A'an is an incredibly beautiful area situated near to Kuta beach. The area is famous for its unique sand, which looks more like pepper than the typical sand found on other beaches around Indonesia's vast coastline.

Lembar and the surrounding regions of Lombok are famous for their delicious spicy cuisine. The word Lombok actually translates to mean chilli pepper, which is particularly appropriate considering the local gastonomy. One of the most famous local dishes is ayam taliwang, but the exact recipe for this is surrounded in mystery. Other local meals that tourist should try whilst in Lombok include pelecing, lengkare and kelor. Further afield on the Gili Islands and in Senggigi, a wide range of international cuisine and familiar western meals are also available.
