The Norwegian National Park Skjærgårdsparken

Skjærgårdsparken, or the Park of Archipelago, is located between Lillesand and the nearby town of Risør. The park was created in stages from 1972 to 1978 and covers around 10,000 hectares of land. The national park is continually expanding as new areas of stunning natural beauty are incorporated. Skjærgårdsparken is an incredible part of southern Norway, begging to be explored and discovered by intrepid travelers.


An essential aspect of any visit to southern Norway is the majestic Nowegian fjords. Blindleia is a 12 mile long stretches of waterway running past the town of Lillesand, offering picturesque views and beautiful scenery. Boat trips along the fjord are available at certain times of the year, especially in summer, allowing visitors to observe the town's stunning environment from the water.


Situated within the Hovag areas of Lillesand, Bronseplassen is home to a number of reconstructed buildings from the Bronze Age and Viking era. Guests can also experience authentic cuisine from these eras and partake in traditional activities such as archery and sailing in tribal log boats.
