Lorient, France Cruise Port

The quaint seaport of Lorient is situated in the Morbihan department of Brittany in North Western France. The town was badly damaged during the relentless Allied bombing campaigns of the Second World War and therefore few historical monuments and landmarks remain. However, the region does contain several interesting attractions relating to the area's history since the war in the form of intriguing 20th century architecture as well as serene coastal scenery and a collection of splendid parks and gardens.
