Sightseeing in St George

The majestic stalagmites and stalactites within the cave where formed over 30 million years ago and surround a crystal clear blue lagoon. The nearby Fantasy Cave is linked to the Crystal Cave system so tourists can visit both on the same excursion. These mystical caves are so beautiful they may almost seem surreal, which makes them an attraction not to be missed whilst staying in Bermuda.

Historic Landmarks

A collection of intriguing and fascinating historic landmarks can be found in the town of St George, many of which were constructed during early British occupation. Notable religious buildings in the area are St. Peter's Church, Stella Maris and the Unfinished Church, whilst other remarkable historic structures include the Town Hall, the Bermuda Perfumery, the Old State House and Stewart Hall.

Several interesting museums, relating to Bermuda's rich culture and heritage, are situated around St George, including the Bermuda National Trust Museum, Heritage Museum, Tucker House and Confederate Museum.

Locally produced arts and crafts, clothes and accessories as well as other gifts and souvenirs can be found in shops and stalls in the more built-up areas of town. A range of food, drinks and general amenities can also be purchased from various markets and shops, run by people from the local community.
