Oceania Cruises

Are you craving the adventure of a lifetime? Sailing across 179 nights of pure luxury on-board the premium-luxury cruise ship, Insignia, Oceania's 2020 world cruise is the perfect way to see the world. And when we say 'the world', we meant it. Visiting four continents, 38 countries, 24 islands and 95 ports of call, you will soak up history, culture, wildlife and nature in some of the most iconic destinations on the planet.

Your luxury cruise ship

Your round-the-world voyage begins in Miami, where you will stay for one night before stepping on-board Insignia. Sleek and elegantly charming, she is resplendent in the finest teak, custom stone and tile work, and her lounges, suites and staterooms boast luxurious, neo-classical furnishings. Boasting four open-seating restaurants, a world-class fitness centre and spa, eight lounges and bars, a casino and 342 lavish suites and luxurious staterooms (almost 70 per cent of which feature private verandas), there is no better vessel on which to see the world.

The Caribbean and Central America

Setting sail from Miami to Havana, you won't want to leave this exotic city. Soak up the sounds of jazz and salsa music as it spills onto every street, and sample unique cuisine influenced by dishes from Spain, France, Africa and more. From here you will take to the Caribbean Sea for your passage to Central America, where you will visit Cartagena in Colombia and transit the iconic man-made wonder, the Panama Canal.

Over the next few days you will sail to Costa Rica and Nicaragua before reaching Mexico: home to hugely diverse landscapes and breath-taking natural scenery. Snorkel on coral reefs off the coast of Manzanillo and watch the sun set behind palm-covered mountains in Puerto Vallarta; cross the Pacific Ocean and visit the USA before returning to Mexico; soak up the sun in Puerto Quetzal in Guatemala, and then relax in Acajutla in El Salvador before starting the next leg of your journey.

Spectacular South America

Your exploration of South America begins in Ecuador, where you will visit the city of Manta before moving on to Peru. Of course, your time in this ancient country includes Machu Picchu: the iconic remains of an Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains.

While in South America you will also cruise to Chile, porting in Coquimbo, Puerto Montt and more before passing through the spectacular Chilean fjords on your way to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Keep your eyes peeled for breaching humpback whales before continuing on your epic journey, visiting Argentina and Uruguay and then reaching the exotic shores of Brazil. From Sao Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, you will fall head over heels for this vibrant nation.

Iconic Africa

Africa has it all: iconic wildlife, rugged mountain landscapes and tumbling waterfalls. Your 2020 Oceania world cruise will help you experience as much of this stunning continent as possible, beginning in Cape Verde. This chain of islands leads on to Senegal, where you will experience the cultural hub of Dakar before cruising to Banjul in Gambia, Abidjan on the Ivory Coast, and Sekondi-Takoradi in Ghana. Sailing across the second largest of the world's oceans - the Atlantic - you will stop by Walvis Bay (whose tidal lagoon is home to flamingos, pelicans and Damara terns) before reaching the shores of South Africa, where ports including Cape Town and Durban await.

Asia and the Indian Ocean

This leg of your 2020 world cruise is completely enchanting. Crossing the Indian Ocean, the South China Sea and more, you will visit a stunning mix of ports in destinations including the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Japan. Marvel at sprawling, shimmering temples in Rangoon (now commonly known as Yangon); take in panoramic views and pretty gardens from the top of Penang Hill in Penang, Malaysia; and sample authentic street food in Singapore. You can also relax on paradise beaches in Ko Samui, immerse yourself in the intoxicating atmosphere of Ho Chi Minh City, and pass through picturesque ports in Vietnam on your way to China and Japan. Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai; Nagasaki, Kyoto, Tokyo; the iconic cities keep on coming.

Canada and Alaska

What better end to your Oceania world cruise adventure than a journey into the icy realm of Alaska? Sailing through the Pacific Ocean, crossing the International Date Line and even visiting Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in Russia, you will cruise to Kodiak, Seward and more ports surrounded on all sides by breath-taking natural scenery. Eagles, whales and bears may accompany your voyage, and the looming Hubbard Glacier will make you feel like a small fish in a very big pond.

This leg of your journey also takes place in Canada, where you will stop off in Victoria, British Columbia, before cruising to Astoria and San Francisco in the USA. This latter port is where your incredible journey ends, seeing you fly back to the UK with memories that will last a lifetime.
