Azamara Club Cruises

Game of Thrones fans will no doubt be familiar with Croatia. Much of the series was filmed there, and now, you can tour the filming locations for yourself during a luxury land and cruise package.

After flying into Dubrovnik and transferring to a five-star hotel for a four-night stay, you will embark on a breath-taking Game of Thrones tour that takes in some of the most iconic locations from the series. You will climb to Lovrijenac, the setting for the Red Keep, and admire the views of the Old Town. You will also visit the locations of King's Landing, the Battle of Blackwater Bay, and the House of the Undying Dungeon while your guide brings the marvels of the city and George R. R. Martin's fantasy world to life. If that wasn't enough, you will also take a boat ride to the exotic island of Lokrum, which was transformed into the magical town of Quarth.

If these Game of Thrones locations aren't enough, you could always embark on a cruise to Ireland or Iceland, too, exploring sights like the Dark Hedges and Dimmuborgir lava fields. Call our Cruise Concierge team to build your perfect package!

After enjoying everything that Dubrovnik has to offer, including an additional tour to the beautiful Elaphite Islands, you will fly to Rome for a two-night stay in a five-star hotel. Here, you will embark on a fascinating tour of the city while it still sleeps. See the stunning skyline at first light and enjoy Rome's most iconic sights without the crowds. Stand in Piazza Navona as the cafes begin to open up, admire Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers and stroll through St Peter's Square in complete peace and quiet. Other sights include the Pantheon, Circus Maximus, the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum, with a break for a typical Roman breakfast at a traditional coffee shop.

The next day, you will board Azamara Quest for a luxury Mediterranean cruise to some of the most stunning ports in Europe. Fall in love with the sheer cliffs and azure waters of Amalfi, explore golden-hued, baroque architecture in Valletta and experience glitz and glamour in Monte Carlo, with stops at other pretty ports along the way. Your Mediterranean cruise ends in Barcelona, where you will explore the city and spend the night before flying back home to the UK.

29 April 2018 Fly direct from the UK to Dubrovnik.
On arrival transfer to a 5-star hotel for a 4-night stay.
There is no shortage of things to see and do in this stunning city. Stroll white limestone streets and admire baroque buildings against a backdrop of the shimmering Adriatic. Walk the ancient city walls and explore Dubrovnik’s history in a range of fascinating museums, or take a cable car up to Mt Srđ for breath-taking views over the city.
30 April 2018 Today you will embark on a Game of Thrones tour that will bring some of the most iconic filming locations from the series to life. Climb to the fortress of Lovrijenac and feel yourself transported to the Red Keep, and take in other sites such as King’s Landing, the Battle of Blackwater Bay, and the House of the Undying Dungeon. Your guide will offer immersive commentary along the way, and will end your tour with a boat ride to the stunning, exotic island of Lokrum, which you may know better as the magical town of Quarth.
01 May 2018 Today’s tour takes you to the three beautiful Elaphite Islands. Rich in flora and fauna and blanketed by a serene silence, Koločep, Lopud and Šipan are completely unique. Admire Dubrovnik from just across the water and enjoy this stunning retreat from the thrum of the city.
03 May 2018 Transfer from the hotel to the airport for a direct flight to Rome.
On arrival transfer to a 5-star hotel for a 2-night stay.
Your time in Rome can be spent however you wish. Immerse yourself in history and beauty by strolling the cobbled streets and admiring the ornate architecture. Visit iconic sights like the Colosseum, admire awe-inspiring art at the Museo e Galleria Borghese and people-watch in one of many pretty piazzas. Of course, an Italian feast is a given, and there is no shortage of alfresco cafes and refined restaurants where you can sample the city’s finest food.
04 May 2018 Today you will explore Rome at first light, blissfully free from crowds. Watch as the sun blossoms over terracotta rooftops and embraces the city with a golden glow. See Rome’s most famous sights from a luxury van before the city wakes up: stand in front of the Trevi Fountain, stroll through Piazza Navona as the cafes begin to open up and admire Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. You will also visit the Pantheon, St Peter’s Square, the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum without having to fight the crowds, and stop for a traditional Roman breakfast at a picturesque café.
05 May 2018 Transfer from the hotel to Civitavecchia port and embark Azamara Quest.
06 May 2018 Amalfi, Italy.
This locale requires a camera with lots of memory. Wedged into the mouth of a ravine, encircled by sheer cliffs and facing blue waters, it is hard to believe that this tranquil little town was once a great naval power. Now, terraced hillsides support lemon groves, where the region’s famed limoncello is produced. Taste this delightfully sweet liqueur after a foray along the Amalfi Coast, a thrilling ride snaking along hillsides past unbelievably stunning views of other pastel hamlets perched above the sea.
07 May 2018 Giardini Naxos (Taormina), Sicily, Italy.
This island off the tip of the Italian boot is the largest in the Mediterranean. Mountainous and rugged, its highest point is the tip of that infamous firebrand, the still active Mt Etna at 10,900 feet. Farmland, enriched by volcanic soil, produces lush crops of olives, citrus and grapes. Climbing higher, you will find forests, the scars left by old lava flows, and eventually the crater where smoke and simmering lava is sometimes visible. Taormina is a lovely small medieval town perched on high cliffs, with spectacular views over the bay and rugged coastline below.
08 May 2018 Valletta, Malta.
Tiny Malta, smack dab in the middle of the Mediterranean and on everyone's route since ships began to ply the seas, is packed with history from top to bottom. Over time it was ruled by a variety of empires, all of which contributed to the look and culture of the islands. Valetta is a living museum of baroque architecture, constructed by the Knights of St. John five centuries ago. Today the city is also a dynamic hub of cultural and commercial activity, its harbour now welcoming luxury yachts and cruise ships.
09 May 2018 Day at sea.
10 May 2018 Olbia, Sardinia.
In a desirable location on the stunning Costa Smeralda, Olbia has been inhabited since the 8th century BC, but a recent archaeological discovery of 24 shipwrecks—two of them from the age of Nero—has landed it in the spotlight. The name Olbia means 'happy town', though its past has been somewhat difficult, with the city destroyed and rebuilt many times throughout its history. Of course that makes it all the more interesting, as every empire that came and went has left something of value behind for you to see.
11 May 2018 Ajaccio, Corsica, France.
While he may have been notoriously small, Napoléon left a huge mark on his hometown of Ajaccio. The diminutive dictator’s presence is visible throughout the city in everything from his childhood home, the Maison Bonaparte, to museums like Salon Napoléonien, seaside statues, and street names. But history buffs aren’t the only ones who will find plenty to see and do in Ajaccio. Art lovers will want to head to the Palais Fesch Musée de Beaux Arts to see the largest collection of Italian Renaissance Paintings in France (outside of the Louvre, of course). And foodies should check out the main market on Boulevard du Roi Jerome for myrtle and plum liqueurs, melt-in-your-mouth beignets (sugared donuts), and brocciu, a type of pungent cheese. On the trendy route de Sanguinaires, stock up on French beauty secrets found in the many apothecaries and traditional pharmacies. (Spoiler alert: We think it probably has something to do with the handmade soaps and lotions made from fragrant herbs like honeysuckle, lavender, and thyme.)
12 May 2018 Monte-Carlo, Monaco (overnight on-board).
The tiny principality of Monaco, a sovereign state of just two square kilometres, has an outsized resume, boasting some of the planet's most expensive properties and the world's most prestigious casino. Facing the sea, and engulfed on the other three sides by France, it has been the domain of the Grimaldi dynasty since the 14th century, and enjoys the same glamorous reputation as the rest of the Riviera. With an overnight on-board you can enjoy the worlds most glamorous sporting event - the Monaco Grand Prix. This Formula One championship race has luxury cars of every make and model zipping through the streets of Monaco. And you can be right there watching them. Glamour meets beauty meets a need for speed. If you are wanting to enjoy the Classic Grand Prix tickets can be added on.
14 May 2018 Barcelona, Spain (overnight on-board).
Dynamic Barcelona is all about architecture, from the magnificent medieval buildings of the Gothic Quarter to the Modernist movement typified by the work of Antoni Gaudi. Though his materials were stone and metal, his forms were organic, awash with curves, swirls and colours. His masterpiece is the amazing Church of the Sagrada Familia, colossal and as yet unfinished, though construction began in 1882. A contemporary contribution to the scene is Ricardo Bofill's post modernist National Theater of Catalonia, an imaginative combination of classical and modern design, with a greenhouse-like lobby.
15 May 2018 Disembark and transfer to the airport for a direct flight to the UK.
