Constanta, Romania

The quaint town of Constanta is located on Romania’s southern Black Sea coast and is the country’s largest seaport, welcoming droves of cruisers every year. The city has a long and illustrious history, dating back over 2500 years, when it was founded by the ancient Greeks. It was named after Constantina, the niece of renowned emperor Constantine.

There is so much to see and do in the Romanian Black Sea port of Constanta, visitors will have a hard time deciding how to spend their time in the city. The city’s old structures, monuments and museums all offer a fascinating insight into Constanta’s rich heritage, while the region’s stunning parks, gardens and beaches are the best place to relax in the sun.

Batumi, Georgia

As Georgia’s lively capital, situated on the country’s Black Sea coastline, Batumi is a hub of culture and activity, drawing a diverse range of travellers from across the world to its scenic and captivating shores. The city is easy to navigate on foot and is only around a 45 minute walk from end to end. Visitors can, however, use to region’s prompt and efficient minibus service or hire a bicycle to make use of the bike lanes.

Batumi’s scenic coastline is the perfect place to take a stroll and enjoy the views. Alternatively, visit the city’s many historic buildings, which include the ancient remains of the Gonio Fortress alongside a number of intriguing old mosques and churches. The local Oceanarium also offers an exciting day out.
