On one of the le Ponant cruises you can look forward to plenty of space and an array of stylish public areas including two restaurants one with a terrace and panoramic views, two lounges and a library although guests will want to spend most of their time lounging outside on the expansive 4,300-square-foot deck. There is also a platform just above sea level at the stern from which you can gaze at the marine life below or enjoy the water sports on offer. Naturally, in true French gastronomic tradition, dining is of a very high standard and a highlight served in the two restaurants accompanied by a selection of wines free of charge. A delicious buffet is served on the terrace of the Panoramic Restaurant at lunch, while evening menus are more elaborate and haute cuisine in the main open-seating Karukéra Restaurant. 24-hour room service is also available. After dinner, guests head for the comfort of the large main Emerald lounge for a night-cap whilst enjoying the subtle tones of the talented pianist. There are only 32 en-suite cabins on board, all with an ocean view porthole window and soothing pastel interiors plus such comforts as flat screen TV, air-conditioning, telephone, mini-bar, safe, bathrobes and hairdryer.
