Intimate Ships

They launched their first ship Silver Cloud in 1994, followed by Silver Wind in 1995, Silver Shadow in 2000, Silver Whisper in 2001 and Silver Spirit in 2009. The fleet was purpose-built for the ultra-luxury market, establishing a new class of smaller, intimate vessels that could slip into more exotic ports. These elite vessels were specifically designed for fewer guests, more space and the highest levels of personalized service, whilst incorporating the favourite amenities found on larger ships, such as an elaborate show lounge, casino, spa and state-of-the-art fitness facility.

In addition to the five luxurious ships in the fleet, Silversea added an expedition to their fleet in 2008, named Silver Explorer. This incredible ship journeys around some of the world’s far-flung and uneasy to reach destinations, while still maintaining high levels of luxury and service which is almost unheard of on any expedition cruise.
