An intimate Wind Surf cruise makes for a truly unforgettable experience. Carrying just 312 privileged guests, msy Wind Surf joined the Windstar Cruises fleet in 1998 and is the flagship of the fleet, which includes the much smaller and identical 148-guest Wind Star and Wind Spirit. The biggest difference between this ship and the others is that Wind Surf's extra space allows for some extra-large-ship amenities including a large spa and an alternative restaurant plus a wider selection of accommodation categories. On a Windsurf cruise you can have the best of both worlds. Wind Surf underwent a series of improvements several years ago and received another series of fresh additions in late 2006. As with all Windstar yachts, Wind Surf has a water sports platform at the rear of the ship, which is available, when the ship is at anchor and offers complimentary water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking. A PADI dive program, complete with guides and instructors, is available as well.

On a Wind Surf cruise guests can enjoy an open seating program - which means you can dine when and with whom you like with the expert culinary chefs preparing fresh, gourmet menus in a choice of four restaurants. The Restaurant is the ships main dining venue and accommodates 250 guests whilst a more intimate alternative is Degrees which seats 124 guests for a Mediterranean culinary journey of simple cooking and seasonal preparations, showcasing authentic ingredients and classic techniques. Two new evening dining experiences await guests on a Windsurf cruise. Le Marché is an alfresco seafood bar offering a delectable array of fish and shellfish. Candles, on the other hand, is a poolside grill on the Main Deck offering fine steaks and skewers with a choice of sauces. Both Le Marché and Candles accommodate up to 30 diners each night, and as there is no additional charge, reservations are strongly encouraged. The Veranda and Terrace on the top deck serves buffet-style breakfast and lunch, while continental breakfast and afternoon tea are served in the Compass Rose. To add to the dining experience, there are several special events that take place during each cruise such as afternoon barbecues featuring lobster tails, steak and spare ribs and a caviar afternoon.

Evening entertainment on a Wind Surf cruise is informal and centres on The Lounge with its comfortable seating allowing you to relax whilst enjoying a range of performers that play most evenings plus the fantastic crew show which takes place one night during each cruise. The Compass Rose bar at the back of the ship is an excellent hangout spot whilst there is also a pool bar open during the day plus a cigar bar. The spacious casino has slot machines, blackjack tables, a poker table, and a roulette wheel if you fancy trying your luck whilst on your Windsurf cruise. You may also find occasional movies in the main lounges, which are fitted with state-of-the-art video and sound equipment.
