May this year welcomed the stunning Celebrity Edge, a brand-new ship for the Celebrity Cruises’ fleet and the first in the Edge Class. Offering incredible accommodations, social spaces never seen before at sea and world firsts, the ship was a game-changing addition to the cruise line.

A mere few months later, and the spotlight has shifted to Edge’s sister-ship, Celebrity Apex, ahead of her maiden season in April 2020. The ship will be a luxurious duplication of her initial sister and offer exactly the same revolutionised and modern sense of cruising. And now, cruisers can enjoy double the choice when it comes to itineraries, accomodations and dates.

Where will Celebrity Apex sail?

The ship will launch at the beginning of April next year, when she will enjoy a mini season sailing from Southampton. With five key sailings kick-starting the season, cruisers can look forward to a hassle-free cruise holiday stepping aboard in Southampton and returning with ease a a few nights later.

These sailings include a range of four- to ten-night itineraries, starting with the unique preview sailing and ending with a fantasic ten-night UK, Spain, Portugal & France itinerary. Sailing to many ports across Europe, including Oslo, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Lisbon, these Southampton round-trip sailings are one of the best ways to see the region.

After the intial mini season, Celebrity Apex will offer longer-length European saiings, ranging from seven- to twelve–night Mediterranean sailings. These sailings include ports of call such as Rome, Istanbul, Santorini and Barcelona and departures are from either Rome or Barcelona. Following this European season, the ship will then embark to the Caribbean for a selection of sun-soaked sailings here from November 2020.

President and CEO of Celebrity Cruises, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, said:

“Like her industry-changing sister ship, Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex will feature outward-facing design and transformational accommodation that invites guests to take in the breathtaking world around them. Now, with these four new and longer Mediterranean sailings, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the peak European experience in true Celebrity style.”

What makes Celebrity Apex so special?

As seen on-board Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex shares the same luxurious accommodations including the brand new Edge Staterooms with Infinite Balcony and twin-level Edge Villas. Alongside these, there will be almost 30 world-class culinary venues, including seven brand-new speciality restaurants, as well as signature spaces to the Edge Class such as the Rooftop Garden, Eden and the incredible Magic Carpet – the world’s first-ever canitlevered moving platform.

Celebrity Apex joins sister-ship on selected European itineraries, following in the waves of the recently selected TIME Magazine’s 2019 World’s Greatest Places. The ship will also be sailing from Southampton alongside newly ‘revolutionised’ Solstice-class ship, Celebrity Silhouette.
