Inside Scenic Eclipse: The World’s First Discovery Yacht

One of this year’s most highly-anticipated cruise ships and a world-first, Scenic Eclipse is finally ready to set sail on her maiden voyage.

The discovery yacht boasts enriching activities both on and off the ship, alongside indulgent experiences of a luxurious standard. With 114 suites and space for up to 228 passengers, the ship is designed to offer you elegance and enjoyment in every detail.

As a discovery yacht, Scenic Eclipse has been created to enlighten and enrich guests on-board through travel experiences they wouldn’t usually achieve elsewhere.

There are ten dining options on-board, alongside eight bars and lounges, with plenty places to relax and unwind. Accommodation comprises four suite categories: Verandah, Spa, Panorama and the Owner’s Penthouse, each of which is lavishly decked in sumptuous amenities and features your own private balcony.

The ship includes two six-seater helicopters, able to fly to a height of up to 7,000m and offering state-of-the-art, air-conditioned interiors. The Airbus EC-130-T2 helicopters are featured in Scenic Eclipse’s helicopter excursions, letting you see the world from a whole new perspective.

Scenic Neptune

Alongside the helicopters, there is a six-seater submarine – Scenic Neptune – designed to dive to depths of up to 300m. This state-of-the-art submarine invites you to explore the marine world below, offering underwater exploration like you’ve never seen before. Custom-built for optimal sightseeing, an excursion under the ocean with Scenic Neptune is truly unforgettable.

The ship will also feature a collection of Zodiacs, kayaks and e-bikes, which can be tied into the cruise line’s excursions for immersive exploration across any destination.

The Spa Sanctuary is a 550-square-metre space of relaxation and rejuvenation. With saunas, steam rooms, a hair salon and treatment room, a gym, a yoga and Pilates studio and a Vitality Lounge, the area is the perfect place to be revitalised after a day of exploration.

One of the ship’s category of suites, Spa Suites, offer the tranquility of the spa as a daily occurrence. With your own private double-size Philippe Starck-designed Jacuzzi, dual vanity sinks and a separate toilet, as well as a steam shower equipped with an oversized head and light therapy, these suites provide you with your very own sanctuary to enjoy.

Epicure offers all the delights of gastronomy alongside expert chef guidance, designed to offer hands-on culinary lessons. With special cooking stations, a large TV screen and hydroponic herb garden, its a cooking emporium experience to remember.

Koko’s

Koko’s is an Asian Fusion restaurant where you can savour authentic Japanese flavours. There is also Teppanyaki @ Koko’s, an addition to this space, where up to eight guests can enjoy a private dining experience with their own Teppanyaki grill.

Scenic Bar

The Scenic Bar is a great place to unwind and swap stories of the day with fellow passengers. There are eight bars and lounges on-board Scenic Eclipse, offering you a great range of social spaces.

The Scenic Theatre is a hi-tech area where guests can enjoy an immersive 270-degree experience of ‘in-the-round’ cinema.
