Capilano Suspension Bridge
At 140 metre long, and 70m highest high, this is the world’s biggest suspension bridge, and an amazing sight it is too. Stretching above the awe-inspiring Capilano Canyon, thick steel cables embed this incredible structure into rock faces, securing its foundations with gigantic concrete blocks at either side. The immense walkway of the Capilano suspension bridge is a fantastic place from which to view some glorious natural attractions, such as rainforests, ancient totem poles, and networks of wooden bridges that are strung between treetops.
Vancouver Aquarium
The most popular attraction within Stanley Park, this brilliant aquarium is home to a huge range of sea-life, and will delight cruisers of all ages. With a wondrous collection of exhibits and collections, this famed attraction is home to over 9,000 sea creatures of every shape and size. Sharks, eels, penguin beluga whales, squids and striking octopi are all residents of the many huge tanks that the aquarium hosts, not to mention a few surprises, including a walk through forest tour and incandescent jellyfish.
Vancouver Lookout
An icon of Vancouver for decades, this needlepoint tower is a landmark which will give you the most fantastic panoramic view of the city you could possibly imagine. Cruisers who journey to this stunning centrepiece across the downtown area will be whisked to the apex of the lookout, 169 metres up, for a view of a lifetime. Not only will you get to see the gorgeous, neon soaked expanse of the city, but you are given a 360 degree vista which includes sea and mountains ranges spread amongst the stunning natural scenery of British Columbia.
