Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Explore South America on this 18-night adventure, from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro, incorporating the beauty of land, sea, and nature together on an unforgettable journey.

Start with an overnight flight to Buenos Aires, where you will stay for one night before embarking on Regent Seven Seas' Mariner for a ten-night, ultra-luxury, all-inclusive cruise. Visit ports across Uruguay and Brazil, before ending in Rio de Janeiro where you will stay for two nights at a 5* hotel. During your stay, why not visit Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado Mountain or enjoy flamboyant carnival celebrations in true Brazilian style!

After your stay, fly to Iguazu Falls for a three-night stay, exploring the beauty and awe-inspiring sight of these cascading natural wonders. Explore the Brazilian side one day, followed by the Argentinian side the next - exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site along the Parana River - one of South America's largest forest reserves.

Following your stay at the falls, transfer back to the airport for your final flight back to the UK.

08 December 2019 Montevideo, Uruguay
Uruguay’s capital city hugs the eastern bank of the Río de la Plata. A massive coastal promenade (malecón) that passes fine beaches, restaurants, and numerous parks recalls the sunny sophistications of the Mediterranean and is always dotted with Montevideans strolling, exercising, and lounging along the water. Montevideo has its share of glitzy shopping avenues and modern office buildings, balanced with its historic old city and sumptuous colonial architecture, as well as numerous leafy plazas and parks.
09 December 2019 Punta del Este
Part Hamptons, part Cote d'Azur, part South Beach (with a dash of Vegas tossed in for good measure), Punta del Este is a flashy destination. "Punta"—five minutes here and you'll shorten the name just as everyone else does—and the handful of surrounding beachfront communities are, famously, jet-set resorts—places where lounging on golden sand and browsing designer boutiques constitute the day's most demanding activities.
10 December 2019 Rio Grande
Explore this lovely old Portuguese city, its gracious squares and beautiful churches. Visit the Museum of Sacred Art and the fascinating Oceanographic Museum. Or see the vast pampas and feel the gaucho life on a local estancia.
11 December 2019 Coast of Brazil Cruising
12 December 2019 Porto Belo
Perched on a lovely peninsula in southern Brazil, Porto Belo is revered for its beaches, most especially Bombas and Bombinhas, which share a beautiful emerald-green bay. In fact, the area is called the "Emerald Coast." Diving and snorkeling are spectacular in the nearby Marine Reserve of Arvoredo because warm and cooler waters meet here, attracting an incredible diversity of marine life.
13 December 2019 Santos
Explore charming Santos and its extraordinary botanical garden, including an orchidarium with more than 100 flower species and an aviary alive with macaws, toucans and parrots. Take a scenic drive to Guaruja and visit the resort town's fascinating aquarium.
14 December 2019 Parati
Savor this gem of a historic town with its beautifully preserved Portuguese colonial architecture, charming narrow streets, imposing fort and exquisite churches. Enjoy a leisurely schooner cruise through this group of lush islands past quaint fishing villages and pristine beaches. Stop at a beach to swim, snorkel or just relax.
15 December 2019 Ilha Grande
Enjoy exploring this beautiful island, hiking its trails, kayaking, snorkelling, and diving to spectacular sites or simply relaxing on its gorgeous beaches. Savour the dense tropical forest with its diversity of birds, flowers, iguanas, monkeys and myriad wildlife found in this protected reserve.
16 December 2019 Buzios, Brazil
Around two hours from Rio de Janeiro, Búzios is a string of beautiful beaches on an 8-km-long (5-mile-long) peninsula. It was the quintessential sleepy fishing village until the 1960s, when the French actress Brigitte Bardot holidayed here to escape the paparazzi and the place almost instantly transformed into a vacation sensation. Búzios has something for everyone. For outdoor enthusiasts, Búzios offers surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, diving, hiking, and mountain biking, as well as leisurely rounds of golf.
17 December 2019 Rio de Janeiro
Disembark and transfer to the sunny sands of Copacabana Beach for your two-night 5* hotel stay. Enjoy the rhythms of Rio de Janeiro from the dramatic views of Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado mountain, to fabulously flamboyant Carnival celebrations.
19 December 2019 Stay at Iguazu Falls
Transfer from the hotel to the airport for a flight to Iguazu Falls. On arrival, transfer from the airport to the hotel for a three-night stay.
The falls are an awe-inspiring sight and truly visceral experience. Enjoy listening to the crashing of the cascading waterfalls, surrounded by both Brazil and Argentina’s national parks. The rainforest is teeming with unique flora and fauna, making a trip here truly memorable and immersive.
20 December 2019 Brazilian side of the falls
Today, you will ride and elevator down to the bottom of the falls, stopping just above the water level. Then, cross a 1000 meter footbridge, and stop at different vantage points to soak in the majesty of Iguazu Falls. This tropical rainforest attraction is located along the Parana River and is an UNESCO World Heritage Site for being one of South America's largest forest reserves.
21 December 2019 Argentinian side of the falls
Enjoy amazing scenery on the Argentinian side, exploring the fall’s Upper Circuit, where you can walk to the Lower Circuit and enjoy the views. Head back to the Upper Circuit and embark on the train there for Devil’s Throat – the most majestic of Iguazu’s many cascades.
22 December 2019 Fly back to the UK
Transfer from the hotel to the airport and fly overnight back to the UK.
