Crystal Cruises Boutique Adventures

Crystal Cruises have announced two new additions to their Boutique Adventures programme for summer cruises in Northern Europe. These new excursions are exclusive to Crystal Cruises, giving up to 15 guests the opportunity to delve deeper into local culture, history and heritage.

The first of these new Boutique Adventures takes place in Belfast and surrounds the intrigue of Irish politics. Guests will visit Stormont, the seat of the Legislative Assembly for the country and also a symbolic part of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement, part of the journey to peace. Following the behind-the-scenes tour, guests will travel to a 200-year-old Georgian manor and farm to enjoy a three-course lunch with a member of the Assembly.

The second of the new excursions has a film theme, and takes place in Berlin. Guests will dock at Warnemunde before travelling to the capital to be shown locations from various famous films, such as ‘Run, Lola, Run’, ‘The Bourne Supremacy’ and ‘Inglorious Basterds’. Following the tour guests are shown to the Soho House, a members-only establishment, to be given a private screening of Billy Wilder’s 1961 comedy ‘One, Two, Three’.

Philip Ordever, Vice President of International Sales & Marketing for Crystal Cruises, said “Often, there’s no better way to understand a destination than by talking to its people. These excursions not only offer ample opportunity for conversation on very niche topics, but also take travellers inside unique locations that are nowhere to be seen on the tourist map.”

The Berlin excursion is offered on four sailings in June and July between Copenhagen and Stockholm, while the Belfast excursion is only available on the 26th August sailing for seven nights from Dublin to Dover.
