First look at Crystal’s new Diamond Class ships

It’s been recently announced that Crystal Cruises are set to expand their fleet of ocean ships from 2022. The Diamond Class ships will accommodate up to 800 guests and feature luxury design and amenities as seen on-board the current fleet, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

First ship to join the fleet in 2022

The new ships will be the Diamond Class, measuring approximately 67,000 gross tons. They are scheduled to be constructed at the MV WERFTEN shipyard in Stralsund, Germany, with the first ship to join the cruise line in 2022.

These new ships will not feature the Crystal Residences – the top-deck private accommodations – and are set to be smaller ships with capacity for up to 800 passengers.

Crystal President and CEO, Tom Wolber, said:

“Our ocean ships are the heart of the Crystal brand and have been loved by our guests for more than 28 years. We are delighted to expand this celebrated fleet with amenities and spaces that our guests have come to love along with more choices and new experiences that will take luxury to the next level. We look forward to sharing more details next year with our guests and travel partners.”

More details will be revealed at a later date about these upcoming ships, which we will share with you as soon as we have more information!

We can’t wait to find out what’s on-board!
