Award-winning ultra-luxury specialist Seabourn has just revealed the names of its two newest ships, scheduled to join the fleet in 2016 and 2018.
Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation will continue the contemporary design of the line’s Odyssey-class vessels – Odyssey, Sojourn and Quest, which joined the fleet between 2009 and 2011. The sale of the line’s older vessels – Pride, Spirit and Legend – to fellow luxury line Windstar Cruises will be completed this year, making Seabourn’s fleet the most modern at sea. The addition of the new vessels will only enhance the line’s contemporary luxury edge and both Ovation and Encore are set to maintain the high space per guest ratio and highly personalised service that the line is renowned for.
Seabourn Encore and Ovation will each cater for just 604 guests and will both feature an additional deck – bringing the total number on each ship to 12, expanded public areas and luxurious all-suite accommodation, each with its own private veranda. Favourites like The Restaurant, The Colonnade and Seabourn Square will feature on Encore, as well as two brand-new as yet unnamed speciality dining venues.
The design of both vessels will be in the hands of highly respected hospitality specialist Adam D Tihany, who has designed some of the world’s most stylish hotels and who will lend his expert touch to both the ships’ indoor and outdoor areas, including their dining venues, the Spa at Seabourn, casinos, lounges, showrooms and deck areas.
Full itineraries are yet to be announced but Seabourn Encore’s 2016 maiden season will see the luxurious vessel explore the coasts of Arabia and India, Southeast Asia and also Australia and New Zealand.
