First look at luxury expedition ship, Crystal Endeavour

Gracing the sea in 2020, Crystal Endeavour is the upcoming luxury expedition ship from Crystal Cruises. The 200-passenger ship will be an industry game changer, with Crystal CEO, Tom Wolber saying “it delivers on what Crystal does best.”

Spirit of adventure

The ship will focus on Crystal’s signature abundant space and elegant amenities, with the 19,800-gross tonnage all-suite, purpose-built polar class yacht being the largest, most spacious expedition yacht in the world.

Wolber continues,

“Crystal’s entrance into the expedition cruising industry is a natural response to the demand from and increasing segment of travellers craving more immersive and active experiences in lesser-known destinations around the world.”

Stunning features of the new addition include the restaurants and spaces which guests have long-enjoyed on-board Crystal’s other luxury cruise ships, as well as specially designed spots primed for expedition cruising.

There will be six dining venues on-board including Prego, a traditional Italian venue; Umi Uma sushi restaurant headed up by famed chef Nobu Matsuhisa; and Waterside, the main dining room.

The solarium will consist of two stories, with a glassed-in pool and remarkable views. The Palm Court will also offer floor-to-ceiling views, as well as afternoon tea, cocktails and dancing, plus presentations and classes.

Venture further with Crystal Endeavour

There are a number of venues on-board where guests can experience enriching activities and explore more alongside their destinations. Locations on the ship include the Captain’s Lounge, Expedition Lounge, Helicopter Lounge and The Library.

A promenade stretches along part of the ship, with areas for guests to enjoy cocktails and view the passing ports. Other lounges include the Connoisseur Club cigar lounge and Crystal Cove – where passengers gather for guest speakers, pre-dinner cocktails and entertainment.

Perhaps the most remarkable features of Crystal Endeavour, however, are the two eight-person helicopters used for excursions, as well as a submarine, which will be deployed as and when itineraries allow.

The ship will be Polar Class 6 compliant, meaning she can sail polar waters throughout the summer and autumn months, with 100 suites to relax and unwind in as you pass icebergs and breaching whales.
