I’ve booked the Azamara Journey Black Sea port tour. Are there any excursions suitable for solo travellers?
There is a wide choice of excursions available when exploring the Black Sea ports on-board the Azamara Journey, and you’ll visit a number of historic city ports in Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Romania and Bulgaria. Tours include visits to the Ottoman Empire town of Safranbolu in Turkey, Yalta, in Ukraine, where the famous Potemkin Steps can be found and Sochi in Russia, the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics. Most of the excursions would suit solo travelers, as with most city tours, you’re free to explore on your own. If you are travelling on your own and you want to book a paid-for private tour, it’s a good idea to find other passengers who want to book, as this will make it cheaper for you and help to spread the cost. It’s worth noting that you can save up to 25 per cent on shore excursions when you book them online in advance.
