New Luxury Cruise Ships In 2023 & Beyond

As we step into a new dawn of cruising, the cruise lines have not stopped planning and preparing exceptional experiences for us to look forward to in the coming years. Alongside existing fleets, there are plenty of brand-new ships joining that will offer a luxury cruise experience like never before. Featuring industry firsts and elevated amenities that take the signature elements even further, here are the ones to look out for…

Emerald Cruises- Emerald Sakara 

Sailing from February 2023 

Emerald Sakara will be the second addition to Emerald Cruises’ luxury superyacht fleet, as well the addition of a brand-new sailing destination, the Seychelles, with the new superyacht expected to celebrate her inaugural departure in 2023. Emerald Sakara’s maiden voyage will be the eight-day Tropical Charms of the Seychelles, exploring several islands across the region. 

Oceania Cruises- Vista 

Sailing from April 2023 

Named to reflect the dawn of a new age in travel, Vista will provide all the luxury standards of the Oceania Cruises’ experience which guests have come to expect including ‘The Finest Cuisine at Sea’ and an exceptional personalised service with two staff members for every three guests. Look out for the public spaces on-board, each offering a sophisticated and elegant area in which to unwind. 

Explora Journeys- Explora I 

Sailing from June 2023 

The first of four luxury cruise ships to launch for the brand-new Explora Journeys line, Explora I brings a best-in-class experience to all who board. The ship will offer all-suite accommodations, nine dining venues and experiences, indoor and outdoor pools and whirlpools, private cabanas, and poolside dining. Fitness facilities, shopping, curated entertainment all feature too which are all included in your fare. Explora I will sail in 2023 with itineraries featuring the Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords and the Baltics. 

Silver Nova 

Sailing from July 2023 

Deepening Silversea’s commitment to the environment, summer 2023 will see the arrival of Silver Nova with hybrid power sources achieving a cruise industry-first – local emission-free operation in port by using fuel cells and batteries. Silver Nova will be one of the most spacious cruise ships ever built and will offer passengers an ultra-luxurious experience and one of the most personalised services at sea with a 1:1.3 crew-to-guest ratio, as well as butler services for all suites. 

Seabourn Pursuit 

Sailing from late 2023 

The second ship in the brand-new ultra-luxury, purpose-built expedition class, Seabourn Pursuit will welcome travellers aboard for exciting polar voyages and more, just like the sistership Seabourn Venture before it. Due to launch in March 2023, Seabourn Pursuit will mirror the same facilities as Seabourn Venture, including two custom-built submarines, 24 Zodiacs, kayaks and a 26-person expedition team poised to provide expert insight into the destinations you visit.  

Seven Seas Grandeur 

Sailing from November 2023 

Regent Seven Seas Grandeur will be the sixth member to join the Regent fleet. This 750-passenger vessel will debut in late 2023. While many of the same signature experiences will be found on-board, these will be elevated to the next level including the all-new Compass Rose.

Celebrity Ascent 

Sailing December 2023 

The fourth ship in the hugely successful Edge Class, Celebrity Ascent will bring a reimagined escape with even more space, luxury and innovations., alongside its sister-ships: Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Beyond. Welcome outward-facing designs and expanded places to soak up the sun with open-air spaces and venues to enjoy sea views at every turn. Join Celebrity Ascent for the 2023 winter season as it sails across the Caribbean. 

Silver Ray 

Sailing in summer 2024 

The sister ship to Silversea’s pioneering Silver Nova, Silver Ray will strengthen the cruise line’s commitment to sustainability. The ship will begin its inaugural season in 2024 in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. From the Atlantic Isles to the Greek Isles, a series of summer and autumn voyages, ranging from seven to 12 days, will feature a variety of options for travellers seeking to discover the region’s cultural treasures, picturesque harbours, and storied cities. In December 2024, Silver Ray will cross the Atlantic to Fort Lauderdale to unlock the Caribbean and Central America for guests. 

 

Allura

Sailing in 2025

The sister ship to Oceania Cruises’ Vista, she will be the second A-class ship and the eighth ship to join the fleet. Named to reflect the excitement of starting an immersive new journey, Allura will entice guests to discover some of the world’s most captivating locations, enjoying the freedom of exploration while sailing the open seas. The luxurious new vessel will bring travellers a world of enchantment where new adventures, familiar faces, off-the-beaten-path destinations and more await. Allura will serve The Finest Cuisine at Sea, boast exceptionally personalised service with warm and welcoming staff, and feature captivating residential furnishings and decor as she sails a variety of destination-rich itineraries. She will accommodate 1,200 guests and be staffed by 800 officers and crew, offering industry-leading space and staff-to-guest ratios.
