New Oceania ship announced for 2016

Award-winning luxury line Oceania Cruises has recently announced that it will be expanding its fleet in 2016, when sister ships Insignia, Regatta and Nautica will be joined by a brand-new vessel for the line, Sirena.

Oceania Cruises will take delivery of the 684-passenger ship in March 2016, when she will undergo a $40m refurbishment to bring her in line with the luxurious standards set by the rest of the Oceania fleet. The recent transformation of Insignia is the latest stage in an on-going refurbishment process for the line, and it is expected that the overhaul of Sirena will be in keeping with these refurbishments, featuring the popular speciality restaurants Polo Grill and Toscana as well as newer additions such as the cook-to-order grill at Terrace Café and Baristas.

Kunal S Kamlani, President and Chief Operating Officer of Oceania Cruises, said: “The addition of Sirena opens up an entire array of new itinerary options for Oceania Cruises as we think about our deployment strategy. The award-winning guest experience delivered on our ships, coupled with a collection of innovative itineraries that cater to new markets, will combine for an alluring siren song for both our current and future guests.”

Sirena is set to welcome her very first guests in April 2016, with reservations being taken a year before for a cruise during her landmark inaugural season.
