It isn’t long since Regent Seven Seas Cruises announced its plans for a $125 million fleet-wide refurbishment programme. Now, the transformations are almost complete, with Seven Seas Mariner’s upcoming stint in dry dock marking the end of the ambitious project.
Updating the world’s first all-suite, all-balcony cruise ship
After her refit Seven Seas Mariner will once again cruise to Alaska, now looking more resplendent than ever.
She will enter dry dock at Chantier Naval de Marseille for 20 days in April 2018, emerging with dramatic new culinary experiences, elegant new suite designs and completely renewed modern public spaces on offer. She will immediately reposition to the Pacific Northwest to flaunt her new look to guests craving immersive Alaska cruises in complete luxury.
Renewed modern spaces
Seven Seas Mariner’s makeover begins with the pool deck. A new open layout and teak flooring will complement the stunning centrepiece: a new mosaic-tiled pool featuring a broad ledge for lounging in shallow water. Guests can also enjoy expanded lunch options including steak, chops, salmon and more offered a la minute from infrared barbecue grills and new buffet bars at the Pool Grill.
Indoors, the ship’s atrium, corridors and guest spaces will be treated to new carpeting, art, furniture and décor, while the latest interior trends will be used to spice up the reception area, Coffee Connection, Card Room, boutiques and the Casino. The Library will exude comfort with dark-wood bookshelves, cream furnishings and a copper-adorned chandelier, while a vibrant cobalt and silver colour scheme will complete the country club ambience in the Connoisseur Club cigar lounge.
Spa devotees will love the reinvigorated Canyon Ranch SpaClub, due to receive new pebble-stone tiles and light-wood accents in the treatment rooms. The adjoining fitness and aerobics centre will benefit from new state-of-the-art machines and equipment, making it easier than ever to maintain your healthy lifestyle while cruising.
Elegant new accommodation
It isn’t just the public spaces on-board Seven Seas Mariner that will be refreshed for her next cruise to Alaska. The luxury cruise ship’s suites will be updated to include Regent Elite Slumber beds with padded leather headboards. Sitting areas, too, will be spruced up with stylish sofas, accent tables and brand new artwork.
All suites will still feature walk-in wardrobes and large marble-accented bathrooms with indulgent L’Occitane amenities.
Dramatic dining experiences
Foodies and casual diners alike will love the updated culinary experiences available after Seven Seas Mariner’s refit.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ flagship restaurant, Compass Rose, will be given a dramatic new ambience using grand crystal chandeliers, recessed ceiling lights, sleek leather chairs and plush cobalt blue drapes. Guests will also enjoy a menu filled with seemingly endless customisable combinations, making it the largest speciality restaurant at sea.
Regent’s new speciality restaurant, Chartreuse, will be installed and debut a delectable modern French menu. Recently introduced on-board Seven Seas Explorer (‘The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built’), the restaurant’s reincarnation on Seven Seas Mariner will feature new furnishings, china, flooring and décor that create the feel of a fine Parisian restaurant. In addition, the Prime 7 steakhouse will receive a facelift complete with an ultra-stylish blue and tan colour scheme.
