Entertainment has always been a big part of the Silversea experience, but it is soon set to take a starring role with the line, thanks to the fleet-wide introduction of seven different all-new production shows.
Not content with just putting together a truly talented ensemble of skilled vocalists, known as The Voices of Silversea who will perform in the productions, the line has also employed the talents of none other than the London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to record exclusive backing tracks. A total of seven different shows will be offered, which will feature, as well as musical talent, special effects, innovative set designs and lavish costuming.
There are three main productions set to debut with the line. Musica Maestro will play tribute to both opera and classical and will act as the perfect showcase for the Phil’s recorded talents, while Mind the Gap pays tribute to the swinging 60s, set to a backdrop of a London underground station and featuring the works of such British icons as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Tom Jones and Lulu. Don’t Stop the Music meanwhile, offers a boogie-inducing tribute to the glittering disco era’s music and fashions.
The remaining four shows will be rotated fleet-wide and will include Caliente, a Latin-style production; Shaken Not Stirred, which as you may have guessed is a James Bond-themed production; Premiere, which takes a look at the wonderful world of cinema and Amore, and will feature some of the world’s greatest love songs. The Voices of Silversea won’t be confining themselves just to the Show Lounge stage though and will perform cabaret-style shows and duets in some of the ships’ more intimate venues, too.

The performances will take place on: Silver Cloud, 12-22 November, Rome to Funchal; Silver Whisper,25 November -12 December, Barbados to Barbados; Silver Shadow, 20 December-7 January, Valparaiso to Fort Lauderdale and Silver Spirit, 13-25 April, Fort Lauderdale to Lisbon.
