Celebrity Cruises has recently announced the exciting new dining concepts you can experience on-board Celebrity Edge. This revolutionary new ship will enable guests to encounter fascinating new cuisines in high-end, contemporary environments.
Due to set sail to the Caribbean in November 2018, our mouths are already watering at the thought of some of these innovative restaurants!
Four main dining restaurants
Before embarking, guests can choose the Traditional Dining package or Celebrity Select Dining Plus, both of which provide guests with full flexibility on time, location and even waiter for their dining preferences.
Each of these offer Classic, Signature and Exclusive menu options. Both Classic and Signature are available in all four Celebrity Edge restaurants, however, Exclusive includes individual dishes inspired by each restaurant’s own style and cuisine, only available in that specific venue.
Of the main restaurants, Deck 4 offers Cosmopolitan and Cyprus, each providing seating for up to 342 diners. Cosmopolitan serves global American cuisine, whereas Cyprus plays homage to the cruise line’s Greek/Mediterranean heritage.
On Deck 3, Normandie offers French contemporary cuisine alongside Tuscan’s southern Italian-inspired dishes. Both accommodate around 344 diners.
Superb speciality restaurants
Celebrity Edge also includes a whole range of speciality dining venues for the ultimate culinary experience while on-board.
Fine Cut Steakhouse offers contemporary luxury, designed as a high-end city-style restaurant with a $55 surcharge. You can even dine outside with 32 covers for outdoor seating! The Rooftop Garden Grill, situated in the Rooftop Garden, offers 64 seats to diners seeking gourmet barbecue favourites.
Raw on 5, similar to Celebrity Summit’s Sushi on 5, will offer exceptional seafood dishes prepared by expert sushi chefs. A chic and sophisticated restaurant, it serves all seafood from lobster and sashimi to oysters and sushi.
The Magic Carpet, the world’s first cantilevered, floating platform, also joins Raw on 5 when it is stationary on deck 5, where it is an extension of the seafood restaurant. When on deck 16, however, the Magic Carpet presents ‘Dinner on the Edge’, where guests can experience other-worldly dishes crafted with local ingredients and inspired by each region you visit on your voyage.
Le Grand Bistro offers a whole other experience for diners, with interactive tables making this an intimate and unforgettable dining venue. Watch as your meal is prepared at your table before your very eyes, with an animated character taking you on a journey of unbelievable innovation.
Eden, designed to be a ‘room that lives’, is a dinner-only venue which offers a contemporary fine-dining sensory experience. The venue has more outward facing glass in a cruise ship restaurant than anywhere else, bringing the outside in and creating a fusion of incredible dining and exciting performances from the cruise line’s Edenists.
