Following the unprecedented success of her predecessor, Scenic Eclipse, the world’s first discovery yacht is set to be joined by her sister ship, Scenic Eclipse II in 2020.
She is the result of the huge success of Scenic Eclipse’s launch and expands the fleet ahead of Scenic Eclipse’s maiden Mediterranean cruise in August of this year.
Following her sister’s footsteps
Scenic Eclipse II will have 114 suites, each with balconies and exquisite facilities. Guests will enjoy butler service, submarine adventures, helicopter rides to shore excursions and a fleet of Zodiacs and kayaks for active explorers seeking intimate adventures.
Other features include a marina deck, a luxurious spa sanctuary and eight lounges and bars, as well as nine restaurants.
Her launch comes as no surprise to those who watched interest around Scenic Eclipse peak back in 2016. The first member of Scenic’s ocean fleet has already sold out her inaugural cruise and other sailings are going fast – showing the level of intrigue cruisers have for small, luxurious and expedition-style ships.
Scenic Founder and Chairman, Glen Moroney, said that the expansion of the ocean cruise fleet was a natural progression for the company. He said:
“The debut of Scenic Eclipse II will not only allow us to expand our offering and pioneer new destinations, such as the Russian Arctic, it will also allow us to continue our passion for innovation in design and innovation in handcrafted itineraries, which we are confident will appeal to a wide variety of guests.”
Maiden voyages and exploration
Scenic Eclipse II will launch in May 2020, sailing first from Athens to Lisbon before venturing to Northern Europe, the Northwest Passage and Southern Greenland. Those interested in reserving a place on-board can make a $250 deposit which, based on the high level of success and interest in Scenic Eclipse, is a worthy investment for those seeking the ultimate luxury cruise holiday.
Other cruise routes which have been revealed include Antarctica and South America, where guests can view the pristine landscapes of this polar region and spot leopard seals and penguins along the endless beaches of the majestic continent.
Another destination focus is Russia’s White Sea, which is still a mystery to many due to its geographic isolation. Explore glaciers and towering cliffs on a luxurious voyage aboard Scenic Eclipse II as you experience the delights of untamed territory.
