The closest the vast majority of us get to owning our own luxurious vessel is getting away from it all for a couple of blissful weeks on a Six Star Cruise to the exotic location of our choice. If we’re really lucky, we’ve secured the captain’s suite and can pretend for a limited time that we’re in charge of our very own luxury yacht. If you’ve ever cruised to Monaco, you’ll no doubt have seen the rows upon rows of yachts moored by there by the rich and famous and perhaps dreamed that one day, your very own ship will be there, right alongside the others.
Well, now that dream maybe a step closer to reality (sort of) thanks to the advent of what could be the smallest luxury cruise ship in the world. Looking a little like something straight out of a Roger Moore-era Bond movie, the Jet Capsule is the perfect answer to your luxury yacht envy, without leaving you in life-long debt.
At just 23-feet long, the Italian-built vessel certainly won’t be doing any world cruises any time soon but it is fully customisable and offers such amenities as a kitchen, a bathroom and a dining area, which can be turned into a bunk bed for two. View it as a sort of luxury VW Camper on the water and you’re most of the way there.
Admittedly, the price tag is still in the ‘if you have to ask’ territory but certainly, this little runabout on the water is certainly a lot more affordable than Roman Abramovich’s M/Y Eclipse. Just don’t expect too many envious glances the next time you moor up in Monte Carlo!
Tempted to splash out? Here’s a look at the Jet Capsule in action.
