Rome - Undoubtedly one of the top places to visit in the Mediterranean and luckily for you cruisers, it is almost always featured on a Mediterranean itinerary. Not one site can be picked out as the best so we had to go with the entire city. The Colosseum, Vatican City, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the list is endless…
Kusadasi - This is the gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus and offers some of the best preserved ancient ruins outside of Greece. Here is the place that you will be able to see the Virgin Mary’s House and the Temple of Hadrian to name but a few.
Santorini - One of the most picturesque islands in the Med, this is a favourite stop for many. With beautifully presented blue-top houses scattered along cliff tops, this is one destination not to miss.
Pompeii - If your ship stops in Naples, be sure to visit this extraordinary town which was once buried under a layer of lava when Mount Vesuvius erupted back in 79 AD. You can still see the remains today and it makes for quite a remarkable trip.
Athens - Another incredible place to discover with plenty of ancient ruins to explore. This is the city of the Greek gods and here you’ll be able to explore the history of Greek myths and legends of times gone by.
Barcelona - A modern city with a host of architectural delights to discover, Barcelona offers plenty to see and do. Sights include; La Rambla, Sagrada Familia and the Barcelona Football Stadium.
Monaco - Lying on the French Riviera, this is one of the most glamorous ports of calls on any itinerary. If you are lucky enough to visit during the Grand Prix then you’ll find a great buzz in the air, but the landscape alone offers something out of this world.
