After a five year absence from the region, Crystal Cruises has announced its return to the vast and beautiful state of Alaska, situated at North America’s northwestern-most point, and will operate a summer season of sailings to ports across the state from 2016.
Crystal will offer a total of four all-inclusive luxury voyages aboard the magnificent 1,070 passenger Crystal Serenity during the summer of 2016, sailing on seven day itineraries between the ports of Vancouver in Canada and Whittier in Alaska, alongside another three ten day cruises, sailing between Vancouver and either the Alaskan ports of Whittier or Seward.
Crystal Serenity will also call at a number of other marvellous ports across Alaska, as part of her seven or ten day itineraries, including beautiful destinations such as Alaska capital of Juneau, as well as Ketchikan, Skagway, Sitka, Victoria and Hoonah – a maiden port for the line and home to the fascinating Tlingit community.
Cruises to Alaska offer the chance for guests to see a plethora of natural wonders and photo opportunities, including the dramatic glaciers of Glacier Bay and a wealth of native wildlife. Observant travellers will spot all kinds of creatures, from bears, moose and eagles whilst ashore, to majestic whales swimming in the icy ocean waters that surround the region.
