How child-friendly is the Regent Seven Seas Mariner?

How child-friendly is the Regent Seven Seas Mariner? How does it compare to other lines?

The Regent Seven Seas Mariner is one of the most child-friendly luxury cruise ships you’ll find. It welcomes families with children on-board and operates a children’s program on cruises taking place during summer school holiday periods. Special promotional rates for children are also available on selected sailings, providing the child is under 18 years of age. The minimum age for a child on-board is one year of age as of the first day of the cruise and any child up to the age of 18 must be accompanied by and occupy the same suite as an adult of 18 years or older. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the spa and gym facilities. Compared to other luxury lines, Regent Seven Seas are certainly one of the most child-friendly, though perhaps less so than Crystal Cruises, who offer dedicated children’s play areas a teen club and supervised activities. If a wide range of dedicated children’s activities and facilities is a key factor in your cruise, then a ship operated by one of the mainstream lines aimed specifically at families would of course be more suitable.
