Oceania will be updating their Regatta-Class ships it has been revealed today, with all four ships undergoing extensive refurbishments to refresh and renew the stunning fleet of ships.
Oceania Regatta, Insignia, Nautica and Sirena will become four completely new ships following a $100 million investment by the cruise line.
The new program will begin with Insignia, followed by Sirena, Regatta and Nautica. Each surface will be re-imagined with a soft colour palette inspired by the sea and sky, surrounded by tasteful fabrics, furnishings and lighting fixtures which will encompass the style and comfort of Oceania Cruises.
The process will take 66 days per ship and include the refurbishment of 1,368 new suites and staterooms, 1,400 new marble bathrooms, 8,000 new light fixtures, 12,000 new sofas and chairs, alongside the work of over 1,000 artisans and craftsmen.
The Miami-based design team, Studio DADO, are responsible for working on the program. They are renowned for blending natural elements with cultural and historical themes to create memorable and timeless spaces where guests can truly relax and be comfortable.
The Grand Dining Room
The main dining venue, the Grand Dining Room, will offer a worthy stage for The Finest Cuisine at Sea, with a gourmet culinary program in place to offer premium artisanal ingredients from around the world. The venue will include a restyled Grand Bar, soft dining chairs and sense of grandeur with a glistening chandelier and plush carpets.
The Stateroom Experience
All staterooms on-board the four ships Oceania Cruise will be rejuvenated, with additions including brand new storage spaces such as closets, dressers and vanities, supple upholstered headboards, designer draperies and chi lighting to make your stateroom a perfect sanctuary to enjoy.
Each of the bathrooms will also feature new fixtures and surfaces and sleek glass showers. Bathrooms in Suites will feature more space and be decked with Carrara marble, polished granite and onyx.
There will be six Owner’s Suites aboard each ship, with each one boasting a newly renovated bathroom with a lavish oversized shower, private veranda, two flat-screen televisions, as well as a laptop and iPad for your personal use.
The four Vista Suites aboard the Regatta-Class will feature a newly redesigned master bathroom with onyx and granite as well as a luxurious new shower. There will also be two flat-screen televisions offering surround sound and DVD-player, alongside a private veranda and complimentary iPad or laptop.
The Penthouse suites will also include new decor in shades of white, grey and blue, with golden accents in the accessories and furnishings throughout the room. There will also be private in-suite dining, granite-clad bathroom with an indulgent walk-in shower, as well as a private veranda.
Concierge Level Veranda Experience
A brand new addition to the fleet is this lavish accommodation found in the Concierge Level Veranda Experience. With this, you will encounter stunning enhancements such as thoughtfully-placed USB ports, re-inspired verandas with new furniture, upgrade of all beds to Oceania Cruises’ exclusive Ultra Tranquillity beds.
Schedule of re-imagination program
The ships are set to begin their transformation from December 2018, when Oceania Insignia will be launched once more following her re-imagination. She will set sail on a 10-day voyage including Miami and Cuban ports.
Oceania Sirena will then follow in May 2019, where she will set on her re-launch to European ports including Barcelona, Florence and Venice.
The third in line is then Oceania Regatta, due in September 2019, for a Caribbean itinerary featuring Seattle, San Diego and Havana.
The final ship in this extensive program is Oceania Nautica, whose itinerary has yet to be announced but is due to relaunch in June 2020.
