We have just returned from a spectacular 12-night voyage aboard the stunning Seven Seas Grandeur, sailing from the vibrant city of Istanbul to the beautiful Trieste, taking in some of the most fascinating and picturesque destinations in the Mediterranean along the way. Our itinerary included the Turkish ports of Dikili and Kuşadası before heading into Greece to visit Mykonos, Gythion, Athens and Argostoli. We then continued to the breathtaking ports of Kotor and Dubrovnik before concluding our journey in Italy. It truly was a spectacular itinerary filled with history, culture, stunning scenery and unforgettable experiences.

Grandeur herself is nothing short of magnificent and without a doubt our favourite ship when it comes to design and overall ambience. Carrying just over 740 guests with an exceptional crew-to-guest ratio, she offers an intimate and refined luxury experience that feels elegant yet wonderfully welcoming. From the moment you step into the breathtaking atrium, adorned with dazzling crystal chandeliers and sweeping staircases, you immediately sense that this is a very special ship indeed.
The interiors throughout the vessel are stunning, combining timeless elegance with contemporary luxury. Rich marble, beautiful furnishings, carefully curated artwork and sophisticated design details can be found around every corner. One of the highlights on board is, of course, Regent’s incredible art collection, including the famous Fabergé Egg, which has become an iconic feature of the ship. Every public space feels thoughtfully designed, from the relaxing lounges and bars to the serene pool deck, which is one of the most beautiful at sea.
We had previously sailed aboard Grandeur on a voyage from Montreal to New York City and wondered whether this second experience could possibly live up to our memories. In fact, it exceeded them in every way. The dining throughout the voyage was consistently first class, with exceptional cuisine, flawless presentation and outstanding service in every venue on board.
One of the true highlights of our cruise was having the honour of meeting and dining with Captain Aristeidis Mertzanis and General Manager Alessandro Menegazzi. It was a wonderful evening spent in fantastic company, listening to their fascinating stories and learning more about life at sea. They say exceptional service starts at the top, and that could not have been more evident on board Grandeur. These gentlemen clearly run a very happy and professional ship, and the atmosphere among the crew reflected this perfectly. Every single member of the team gave 100% throughout the voyage, always with warmth, pride and genuine hospitality.
Another aspect we absolutely love about Regent is the incredible value included within the cruise fare. From included shore excursions and speciality dining to premium drinks, gratuities and even unlimited laundry service, everything is taken care of. Returning home with a suitcase full of clean clothes really is the ultimate luxury!
