Silversea’s all-suite luxury expedition ship the Silver Galapagos will be in dry dock in Panama later this summer for a complete refurbishment, with all suites and corridors getting full upgrades to welcome autumn cruisers in style.
Renovations will also include a new blue-and-beige look for the Explorer Lounge, with the intention of creating a consistent look across Silversea’s expedition vessels in terms of interior design.
The refurbishment is the second in as many years, with the first makeover taking place in 2013 to give Silver Galapagos a new massage room, salon, fitness centre and Jacuzzi on deck – along with marble en-suite bathrooms and the addition of premium al fresco dining at outdoor restaurant The Grill.
As its name suggests, the 100-guest Silver Galapagos offers luxury voyages of Darwin’s famous scientific stomping grounds off the coast of Ecuador. Operating seven-night tours all across the islands on two separate itineraries, Silver Galapagos cruises give their guests the opportunity to see the unique wildlife of these often sparse volcanic islands on professionally guided expeditions – and to enjoy the height of luxury back on board.
