Gallipoli, Turkey Luxury Cruises

The Gallipoli Peninsula is located in north western Turkey, close to the city of Istanbul. The region is most famous for the many First World War battlefields distributed across the peninsula, as well as the many impressive commemorative memorials that sit on the north bank of the Dardanelles Straight. Despite Gallipoli’s main tourist attraction being rooted in sombre ground, the area also boasts an excellent Mediterranean climate and a number of areas of stunning natural beauty, including lush pine forests, rolling green hills, exquisite olive gardens and spectacular coastal views. The battlefields and monuments of Gallipoli are complimented by the surrounding scenery, offering an ideal location for visitors to go for a hike, appreciate the wonders of nature and reflect on the incredible sacrifices made by the armed forces during the First World War.

Sightseeing in Gallipoli

Gallipoli is one of Turkey’s most historically significant destinations; due to its history as the location for some of the most important and noted battles of the First World War.
