Trabzon Cruise Port

Trabzon is a sprawling and fascinating port on Turkey's Black Sea coast.  Despite its sophisticated cityscape, its central township is blessed with a party atmosphere which provides an unusual but delightful contrast to it rustic qualities. A stroll through its cobblestone streets reveals gorgeous medieval churches, monasteries and picturesque harbours, but its character has always been a vibrant one. Its squares are filled with dancers, performers and musicians of all types, giving it a vibrancy which is a rarity for historical towns.

The illustrious buildings and winding narrow streets are steeped in the past, but the youthful excitement of the locals gives it a modern edge wholly unlike anywhere else on the Turkish coast. Local students weave their way in and out of restaurants and bars that pulsate with a fervent energy, meaning Trabzon's nightlife has a legendary status.  Cruisers are bound to find this enchanting, fun-filled township a worthy foil to the staples of Istanbul and Samsun once they have experienced its beauty for themselves.
