Transatlantic Ports

There are plenty of exciting luxury transatlantic cruises to choose from, travelling across this vast ocean from one continent to another. Imagine spending a few days seeing the sights and sounds of the ancient city of Rome before you set sail on an adventure across the Atlantic Ocean? Or how about spending a few days after your cruise in the beautiful city of New York? It is all possible with our incredible cruise and stay offers.

Funchal

Set on the beautiful island of Madeira, this is a popular port to visit before sailing across the Atlantic. Having been a trading port since the 15th century, Funchal is a place rich in history. Well worth a visit is the Santa Clara Convent (the national monument) and the Säo Laurenço Palace with its European architecture. The ideal base for keen walkers, Madeira has a network of trails that’ll take you through the spectacular volcanic landscapes.

Lisbon

The capital city and largest city of Portugal, Lisbon charms travellers with its whitewashed buildings, quaint alleyways and laid back feel. Popular attractions for you to enjoy include the Maritime Museum and Jeronimos Monastery (the final resting place of Vasco de Gama). Built in the early 1500s, the monastery is one of the most popular tourist sites in Lisbon. Plus, Lisbon’s best museum, the Gulbenkian houses a selection of the world’s finest art, jewellery and furniture, which span 2000 years.

Miami

This is a port that you will most likely reach at the end of your cruise and a popular one it is too. Miami is home to a whole range of incredible attractions for you to choose from including; Cape Florida Lighthouse, Everglades National Park, Historical Museum of South Florida and Miami Zoo. You can even spend a day relaxing on Florida’s most spectacular golden sand beaches or take advantage of the fantastic shopping facilities which the city has to offer.

New York

This iconic city really doesn’t need any introductions. Whether you want to visit the landmarks that make up the New York skyline such as The Statue of Liberty and The Empire States Building, explore the fast-paced life of Times Square, take some time out to relax in Central Park, enjoy a day of shopping in Manhattan, or spend a few hours visiting The Rockefeller Centre, there’s plenty to see and do in the city that truly never sleeps.
