Itinerary

1

Ushuaia

Although its nickname the "End of the World" - derived from its location along the southernmost tip of South America among the Tierra del Fuego archipelago - Ushuaia is far from the end of any adventure. Where the Andes meet the Beagle Channel and the snow-capped Martial Mountains sit behind a sprawling city of colorful buildings, lies a lively town ready and waiting to take you on the thrill ride of a lifetime. Scenes like Parque Yatana give you the chance to immerse yourself in the rich, indigenous culture.

South Shetland Islands

Some 770 kilometers (478 miles) south of Cape Horn, the South Shetland Islands are usually the first land seen in Antarctica. Separated from the Antarctic Peninsula by the Bransfield Strait, nine major islands make up the group. The region was the first to be exploited by sealers in the early 19th century, and because of its proximity to South America, it still is the most visited by scientists and tourists. Chinstrap, Adelie, Gentoo and Macaroni Penguins all breed here. In addition, because it is the warmest part of the continent, large moss beds as well as orange, black, grey and green lichens grow –even hair grass and pearlwort manage to survive. Leopard seals, Weddell seals, crabeater seals, Southern elephant seals and Antarctic fur seals can be seen in the water and on the beaches.

Antarctic Peninsula

Nicknamed The White Continent for its vast expanse of icebergs, snow and glaciers, Antarctica is often the final frontier for experienced explorers to conquer. As you navigate Antarctic waters, you may set foot on sites like Beak Island, Brown Bluff, Cierva Cove, Hidden Bay and many more. Each landing throughout the continent offers its own unique landscape, from expansive tundra to rugged mountain peaks, all beckoning you to follow the paths that few explorers have trekked before.

CAPTAIN'S CHOICE - Captain's Choice ports of call add to the sense of adventure and an element of surprise. Your ship's captain will sail around changing weather conditions as needed and take you to the best areas for wildlife viewing.

Conscious Navigation

EXPLORE YOUR WORLD, LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS

As responsible global citizens, we set out to lessen our footprint in the breathtaking destinations we visit. We always make the effort to show respect for all, from the ecosystems to the wildlife we encounter. Taking these careful actions helps us keep the environment thriving for today’s explorers and future generations.

OCEAN STEWARDSHIP

Our intimate yachts realize the possibilities of environmental stewardship with the latest hybrid power management and propulsion systems, maximizing fuel efficiency and consuming as low as one-fifth the fuel compared to conventional cruise-ship systems, reducing our impact on the environment.

CLOSER WITHOUT INTRUDING

We minimize underwater noise that stresses marine wildlife by using a hydro-jet propulsion system that allows us to cruise virtually silent up to five knots for incomparable, up-close encounters while keeping the sensitive ecosystem in mind. It’s also our responsibility to prevent damage to the fragile ecosystems on ocean floors. That’s why we avoid using anchors to maintain ship position by using a GPS-based Dynamic Position System.

DOING OUR PART

It’s important to make the effort to keep waterways clear for a cleaner environment. By building our yachts with the latest and most advanced waste management and water treatment plant in the cruise industry, we take the proper steps to control waste on board. That includes storing litter that cannot be repurposed or reclaimed in a dedicated hold until landing, where it will be disposed of responsibly. Plus, we offer still and sparkling water delivered in a FREE reusable water bottle on board to help reduce waste.
